My name is Kristin, and I understand depression. I have lived my entire life with a serious attitude about life, and even though I love to laugh, I still have days of sorrow and despair. Trying pills, therapy, and positive self-talk, I have found that the most successful way I can endure and embrace my extended times of sadness is to write prose and poetry. Writing is the only way I can express and release the deadly pity that depression instills in my heart. Because my writing is so therapeutic, I’ve decided to blog and network with others, and I hope that sharing my poetry and prose will encourage everyone to experience expressive acceptance through the joy of writing.
